Transaction

Buying online can seem like a risky business, especially if you're not familiar with the process. At Buddying UP, we do our upmost to safeguard everyone involved in the buying and selling process.

Please read and carefully follow our transaction policy guidelines below before making any purchases or when selling on our system.

Our goal is have all parties benefiting from using our system, so clearly adhering to our guidelines will make the process at lot easier for everyone.

1. Buying or selling outside of Buddying UP policy

   Offering to buy or sell outside of Buddying UP to parties introduced to you by using Buddying UP is not allowed. Buyers and Sellers so introduced also cannot share contact information, including email addresses and phone numbers, prior to completing a transaction on the Buddying UP Platform. The only exception to this rule is when Services are requested and upon Buddying UP receiving a nominated lead fee from the Seller, contact details such as email address and mobile numbers may be provided.

   Contacting another User to discuss moving a purchase off the Buddying UP Platform exposes both the Buyer and Seller to the risk of fraud. It also means both Buyer and Seller are not covered by our Policies.

   Please carefully read the conditions that must be adhered to by both Buyers and Sellers:

   • Complete transactions within the Buddying UP system in order to be covered by our Policies;
   • Cannot engage in any action with a user on the Buddying UP site designed to complete a transaction outside of Buddying UP;
   • Cannot share or request direct contact information prior to completing a sale, even when asking a Seller a question regarding a Product;
   • Cannot share or refer information regarding Products or Services from external agencies, websites or competition outside of Buddying UP system;
   • Use customer details obtained from using the Buddying UP Platform to buy or sell outside of the Buddying UP Platform;
   • Cannot list Products for sale that directs to websites outside of Buddying UP Platform for purchase.
   • Cannot host Product images or descriptions outside of Buddying UP Platform

   Failing to follow our clear guidelines could result in any of following actions being taken by Buddying UP:

   • Listings being cancelled
   • Lowering seller ratings
   • Account suspension
   • Removing, hiding or demoting Products/Services from search results
   • Restrictions on buying or selling Products/Services
   • Restrictions on communication with Sellers/Buyers
   • No refunds will be issued on behalf of Buddying UP for any subscriptions, advertisement or any outstanding funds credited to your account.

2. Currency

   All transactions made on the Buddying UP Platform will only be made in AUD This includes any international transactions that are made within the Buddying UP system. The foreign exchange rate between the country from which the purchase is made will be converted according to rates posted by the Reserve Bank of Australia at the date/time of purchase.

   Buddying UP Australia will not accept any currency outside of the AUD which includes any subscriptions fees, advertising fees, lead feeds etc..

   Products and Services to match with online description and photos etc..

   All Products and Services that are advertised on the Buddying UP Platform must be an accurate representation of what is being sold. This includes all images, descriptions etc. Failing to do so taints not only the reputation of the Seller but also the community organisation from which the Product/Service has been purchased.

3. Invoices

   Buddying UP will create and issue all invoices to all Buyers on behalf of the Sellers on the Buddying UP Platform.
